Regional Program Coordinator (2 Positions 1 in each of the following regions Kigoma and Shinyanga Grade: 8
Position Overview:
The Regional program coordinator will lead regional operations and oversee implementation in all districts targeted by the project in the region.
S/he will work closely with regiona district counterparts to set regional district priorities. The coordinator will liaise with technicaf1eams in the zonal (Mwanza) office to ensure the region is supported in a coordinated, rational and integrated way in the pursuit of project deliverables.
S/he will coordinate with the R/CHMTs to tailor assistance to district needs and to engage other sectors at the district level.

Positions Supervised: Adminstrative cum Program Assistant; Data Manager
Responsibilities:
Retain ultimate responsibility for the overall implementation of USAID Boresha Afya project activities in his/tier region (s)
Liaise with Regional and district local authorities in making sure that USAID Boresha Afya -supported activities contributes to the national goal and plans on respective RM2NCAH areas.
Oversee quality of programs in the region, including to provide coaching and mentoring of USAID Boresha Afya facility and community health workers
Senior Finance Officer (1 Position based in Mwanza]Grade:8
Position Overview:
The Senior Finance Officer will be responsible to manage the Project's day-to-day cash needs, travel requests, payments, procurement, contracts, regional office finances, policies and procedures, consultants, travel and logistics, and project reporting.
S/he will also be expected to oversee all financial and accounting issues at the regional level, and will also provide technical assistance to sub-grantees on finance management
Technical Officer, Reproductive Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health (2 Positions 1 based in each of the following regions i.e. Kagera and Mara] Grade: 8
Position Overview:
Based in Kagera and Mara Regions, the RMNH Technical Officer will provide technical and programmatic support in MNCH, including postpartum family planning (PPFP). S/he will ensure the technical and methodological soundness of activities at service delivery and will be expected to support the design of service delivery strategies including malaria in pregnancy (MIP) and family planning (FP), based on sound and current scientific evidence in collaboration with the USAID Boresha Afya Project team and other partners in the region(s).
Senior Program Officer (1 Position based in Mwanza] Grade:9
Position Overview:
The senior Program Officer will provide programmatic support and overall coordination to the technical team in the day-to-day implementation of USAID Boresha Afya Project activities at all levels. Based in Mwanza, s/he will also coordinate project operations and provide logistical support to implementation in project regions.
The senior Program Officer will also coordinate the planning of field activities for efficient implementation and will support technical teams with timely reporting. S/he will also be responsible for supporting the organization of all meetings and workshops, oversee preparation of activity budgets, initiating the procurement process for various program supplies and equipment in alignment with the Jhpiego policies.
Monitoring and Evaluation Officer-( 1 position based in Kagera)-Grade 8
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Senior M&E Officer, the MER Officer will monitor progress toward PMP targets in assigned geographic and technical areas and assist in routine data collection, analysis and use. Conduct M&E capacity-building as part of clinical trainings and during site visits to mentoring on data analysisi and use .Provide support to technical teams for MCH, malaria, and FP to ensure data quality and timely reporting for project performance. Participate in assessments and communication of project results at regional, districVcouncil, facility, and community levels. Support use of health management information system to collectRM2NCAH data. Support regional, council, and facility levels in data collection, analysis, and use.
Program Cum Administrative Assistant (1 Position based in Zanzibar] Grade: 5
Position Overview:
The Program Cum Administrative Assistant is responsible for maintaining the Jhpiego reception/front office including ensuring cleanliness, functioning phone system, maintaining telephone contact information, and ensuring prompt and timely assistance to all visitors. As the first contact for the organization's visitors the
Program Cum Administrative Assistant is expected to be professional, courteous, prompt and pleasant. The Program Cum Administrative Assistant will also assist with other front office functions like sending/receiving couriers, ensuring mail is picked from the post office and other office support tasks as needed.
Quality and Performance Improvement Advisor(1 Position based in Mwanza] Grade: 9
Position Overview:
The Quality and Performance Improvement Advisor will ensure quality is core of project implementation.
S/he will provide overall technical leadership to the USAID Boresha Afya program in implementing quality improvement (QI) approaches including Standards-Based Management and Recognition (SBM-R), supportive supervision, infection prevention and control (IPC) and result-based financing (RBF). This includes technical guidance to key MoHCDGEC officials and implementing partners on capacity building for performance and quality improvement in health care settings. The Advisor will guide development of performance standards and indicators, conduct internal and external assessments to measure progress over time, assist in tracking results, and work with colleagues to recognize facilities achieving high quality services. The QPI Advisor is well-versed in quality improvement and quality assurance methodologies and provides guidance on sustaining high performing health services.
Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (1 Position based in Mwanza]Grade: 9
Position Overview:
The Senior M&E Officer for USAID Boresha Afya will be the primary contact and responsible for all USAID Boresha Afya M&E functions and activities, including working with program managers and CoP to coordinate program site data collection, data , quality and reporting in time to meet key deadlines. He/she will take responsibility for the reporting of SBM•R/ QI data and contribute to discussions around overall quality assurance and improvement. He I she should be aware of and prepared to provide technical assistance to all M&E components of RMNCH, including HIV/AIDS-related components, BEmONC, CEmONC and community-based health care. The Senior M&E Officer will liaise with the Senior Health informatics Advisor and his team to ensure that the USAID Boresha Afyaprogram is on track with scaling up use of MNH indicators through DHIS2.
He/she should take leadership in preparing abstracts for presentations and conferences and other use of data.
He/she will also ~a supervisor to M&E Officers and be part of a leadership team of the M&E Unit. He /she will be an integral part of-the RMNCH technical team and must provide leadership and guidance for M&E activities for that program
Integration and Learning Advisor (1 Position, based in Dar es Salaam]Grade:9
Position Overview:
The Integration and Learning Advisor will provide overall technical
leadership to the USAID Boresha Afyaprogram and its partners on the integration of MNCH,
Family Planning, Malaria and other interventions across the continuum of care, as well as incorporating leanings for program improvement.
S/he will provide technical leadership and strategic direction for designing and implementing project learning strategy for tailored implementation of Integrated essential services package (MCH, FPIRH, and malaria) services in the regions.
Provide methodological support and facilitate the design, content development/adaptation, and delivery of effective learning strategies to positively impact performance. Lead the team in synthesizing learning from the project for dissemination of results. Working with USAID Boresha Afyatechnical team, the Advisor will ensure linkages and synergies at service delivery level from community to facility level. At district level, the
Integration and Learning Advisor will support management, supervision and budgeting of health services in an integrated manner; while working at national level to ensure appropriate policies and tools are developed and operationalized across USAID Boresha Afya districts and sites.
ICT4D Advisor ( 1 Position, based in Mwanza) Grade 9
Position Overview:
The ICT 4D Advisor will provide technical assistance for the strategic integration of Information and Communication Technologies for Development (ICT4D) for USAID Boresha Afya Project interventions. S/he will be responsible to manage a team of eHealth systems developers, implementers and lead the Project's information and communication technologies for development (ICT 4D) strategy. This position will liaise with the National eHealth Steering Committee (NeHSC) and the National eHealth Entity, and will directly support regions/districts in building capacity to Implement ICT 4D approaches.
The ICT4D Advisor position requires strong experience leading ICT 4D implementations in the field, deep public health knowledge and vast knowledge on mHealth interventions, and keen organizational and management skills.
