Rusororo Aggregates Limited is a state of art stone extraction company, involved in commercial crushing of aggregates and a wide range of stone products located in Rusororo, Gasabo District, Kigali - Rwanda

Rusororo Aggregates seeks to employ highly motivated professionals to the following positions:

1. Position one: Site Manager

Responsibilities and duties

• Checking that the quarry's production levels are maintained safely to schedule;
• Closely monitoring all areas of the quarry to ensure that extraction and processing work is carried out to the highest standard
• Managing and regulating the quarry's budget;
• liaising with staff on site and dealing with any technical or staffing challenges that arise;
• Providing the owner company with information and statistics on the quarry's performance;
• developing links with local groups and organizations
• undertaking regular site inspections and risk assessments in order to comply with all health and safety regulations;
• keeping up to date with relevant government legislation and industry developments
• Examining the materials produced to ensure that a high quality of product is maintained;
• Assessing equipment and production materials levels;
• Checking that all vehicles on site are maintained to a good standard.
• writing development proposals and reports
  

Qualification and Skills

• Must have a degree in Business administration or in a similar field
• Ability to provide technical advice in production of aggregate stones.
• Experience of three years in quarry management
• Communication skills and writing skills.
• Organizational and interpersonal skills
• Computer literate with good knowledge of MS office(word, excel, power point)

2. Position two: Accountant

Responsibility and Duties

• Maintain all books of accounts for the company
• Ensure the company’s sales procedure are well maintained
• Manage the accounts receivable and payable
• Ensure all funds received for the company are banked immediately
• Prepare bank reconciliation at every end of the months
• Coordinated monthly payroll functions for the employees
• Develop the internal control procedures for the company
• Ensure all taxes deadlines are constantly maintained
• Advise on profits viability of the company products
• Ensure proper stock control system is in place

Qualification

• Must have a degree in accounting
• Skilled in applying financial reporting standards
• Experience of three years in accounting profession
• Communication skills and writing skills.
• Organizational and interpersonal skills
• Computer literate with good knowledge of MS office(word, excel, power point)

3. Position three: Crusher/mechanic operator

Responsibility and Duties

• Observe operation of equipment to ensure continuity of flow, safety, and efficient operation, and to detect malfunctions.
• Notify supervisors of needed repairs.
• Clean, adjust and maintain equipment
• Reject defective products and readjust equipment to eliminate problems.
• Inspect chains, belts, and scrolls for signs of wear.
• Examine materials, ingredients, or products visually or with hands, in order to ensure conformance to established standards.
• Record data from operations, testing, and production on specified forms.
• Weigh or measure materials, ingredients, and/or products at specified intervals to ensure conformance to requirements.
• Collect samples of materials or products for laboratory testing.
  

Qualification and Skills

• Must have worked in a quarry for 3 years in similar function
• Experience of at three years
• Must have a degree in electricity and mechanics
• Knowledge of basic mechanical maintenance procedures.

4. Position Four: Blaster/ Drill operator

Responsibility and Duties

• To operate mobile drilling machine to prepare for blasting.
• Maintain and adjust machinery in order to ensure proper performance
• Cleans metal chips from machine
• Maintain records of footage drilled location and nature of strata penetrated.
• Monitor progress of drilling operations
• Train crews, and introduce procedures to make drill work more safe and effective.

Qualification and Skills

• Must have worked in a quarry for 3 years
• Must have a diploma in electricity and mechanics or similar field
• Knowledge of basic mechanics and maintenance procedures

5. Position Five: Sales and marketing officer

Responsibility and Duties

• Responsible for selling and marketing of company products
• Maintaining and developing good relationships with customers
• Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales;
• Gathering market and customer information;
• Representing the organization at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations;
• Checking quantities of material in stock;
• Recording sales and prepare sales monthly report
• Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets;
• Making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations;
• Sharing best practice with colleagues.

Qualification and Skills

• Planning, organizing and controlling skills in regard to marketing of products
• Must have a degree in Sales and marketing
• Experience of three years in quarry business or construction business
• Communication and writing skills.
• Organizational and interpersonal skills
• Computer literate with good knowledge of MS office(word, excel, power point)
• To have client focus

6. Position Six: Store keeper

Responsibility and Duties

• Oversees and administers the operations of a store and handling of company property. Receives, identifies and verifies. Ensures that they are kept in good condition and that they are repaired or replaced as necessary
• Store management and safe custody of office utilities
• Communicates with others in order to receive or transmit information.
• Maintains equipment and instruments and ensures general cleanliness of work
  

Qualification and Skills

• Planning, organizing and controlling skills especially in regarding logical operations.
• Must have at least a diploma in accounting
• With a minimum of two years experience in store management/stock control
• Organizational and interpersonal skills
• Computer literate with good knowledge of MS office(word, excel, power point)

7. Position Eight: 6 Drivers

• 3 for Trucks/ Tippers,
• 1 for excavator,
• 1 for wheel loader, and
• 1 for a service van
  

Responsibility and Duties

• Drives assigned routes to transport individuals, materials to and from various human service locations, work sites, and other locations.
• Assumes responsibility for care and maintenance of trucks
• Performs related duties as required.
  

Qualification and Skills

• Working knowledge of the rules and regulations involved in the safe and efficient operation of automotive equipment.
• Knowledge of basic automotive maintenance procedures.
• Ability to deal effectively and patiently with others.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
