Lead Advisor – Learning and Accountability
£43,080 - £53,380
London
To remain at the forefront of the human rights movement, Amnesty has to evolve with the continually changing sector. The Strategy and Evaluation Unit is central to this – assessing the impact of Amnesty’s work to drive improvements where they’re needed. Focussing on learning and accountability, you’ll build a culture of continual learning that will underpin our future work.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
An expert in continual learning, you’ll deliver the organisational insight that will support our entire operation and strengthen our accountability across the board. You’ll develop and implement tools, processes and systems to regularly monitor our performance – analysing the reports in order to take lessons learned. You’ll then incorporate your findings into the planning of future activities and draw on your performance insight to make necessary changes at both project and organisational level. Part of that means collaborating with our human resources team to ensure individual and organisational learning processes are mutually supportive and that we’re successfully building on our capacity in all areas. It also means reporting on our compliance with the INGO Accountability Charter in order to deliver the highest standards of accountability to internal and external stakeholders – staying open, transparent and accountable in everything we do.
ABOUT YOU:
An experienced Advisor, ideally coming from another INGO, you’ll not only have extensive knowledge of embedding and improving organisational learning and accountability, you’ll be passionate about it too. Thinking laterally, you’ll remain persistent as you make wide-ranging changes at multiple levels. And as well as showing sound political judgement and emotional intelligence, you’ll bring us the highly developed analytical skills needed to translate data into strategy and decision-making. Naturally, you’ll be a clear and convincing communicator – able to manage colleagues, present influential arguments and negotiate changes across the organisation. But just as importantly, you’ll be eager to make the most of your industry knowledge and experience as you develop our capacity at this exciting time.
ABOUT US:
Our aim is simple: to bring the world closer to a place where human rights are enjoyed by all. Independent, international and influential, we campaign for justice, freedom and truth wherever they’re denied. Already our network of over three million members and supporters is making a difference in 150 countries. And whether we’re applying pressure through powerful research or direct lobbying, mass demonstrations, human rights education, or online campaigning, we’re all inspired by hope for a better world. One where human rights are respected and protected by everyone, everywhere.
