Education Development and Quality Improvement Project (EQUIPT) ELT Training Manager

The British Council in Dar es Salaam is recruiting a Teacher Training Manager to join us in November 2013 for a large scale project across Tanzania.

We are leading a nationwide project funded by DFID to improve the English language proficiency and teaching knowledge and skills of pre-service trainers and student teachers in 34 training colleges across Tanzania.

This post is full-time position based in Dar es Salaam, but extensive and frequent travel around Tanzania will be required, often to remote locations.

You must have a DELTA or Trinity Dip. TESOL and a degree in any subject, plus at least five years teaching experience after training, in a wide range of situations, including public and private sectors. Experience of teacher training (methodology) is essential and you should also have some experience of extra-mural work  with national teachers.

Start date:  November 2013 or sooner
