must be holders of a Masters degree in Social Sciences/Business/ Public
Administration or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Those with professional
qualifications from a recognized such as CPS/CPA or equivalent will have an
added advantage.

experience in administration at an institution of higher learning Computer

Those with Bachelors degree in the
relevant field and have at least five (5) years administrative experience may
also be considered.
2.
OFFICE
OF THE DEAN OF STUDENTS Seventh – Day Adventist Chaplain
Kenyatta University wishes to
appoint a University Chaplain for the Seventh Day Adventist Community at the
University. The Chaplain will work with the Seventh Day Adventist students,
staff and the community on the campus.
The applicant will also work with
other University Chaplains on issues of religion and welfare of the group under
the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor.
Applicants for this post should
have a Ph. D degree or its equivalent from a recognized institution with
specialization in a relevant subject such as Theology, Sociology or Psychology
of Education. Applicants who hold a Masters Degree in the above areas with
relevant experience may be considered.
The applicant should have the following:

Be
ordained and recommended by his/her church
·
Be
well informed in Seventh Day Adventist Church activities and running of
students religious organizations in the Kenyan Universities or other
educational institutions
·
Be
mature and of unquestionable Christian integrity
·
Have
evidence of experience in guidance and counseling either at church or other
relevant institutions
·
The
successful applicant will be appointed at the level of a Lecturer or Senior
Lecturer depending on the experience
House
Keeper – Grade A/B
Applicants must be holders of KCE
division III/ KCSE mean grade D+ and above. They must have a minimum
professional qualification of Diploma in Institutional Management, Housekeeping
and Laundry Services or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
In addition they must have at
least three (3) years relevant working experience as Assistant Housekeeper or
Room Steward in a busy work environment.

MOMBASA CAMPUS
i.
Physics
Technician – Grade C/D
Applicants must be holders of KCE
Division II/ KCSE mean grad C+ (plus) and above. They must also have
professional qualification of Higher National Diploma in the relevant field
from a recognized institution.
In addition applicants must have
the following:

At
least three (3) years relevant work experience in a busy teaching/ research
laboratory as Technician Grade A/B or equivalent
·
Computer literate
ii.
Physics Technician – Grade A/B
Applicants
must be holders of KCE division III/ KCSE mean grade D+ (plus) and above. They
must have professional qualification of Ordinary Diploma in the relevant field
from a recognized institution.

SCHOOL
OF VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS Department of Music and Dance
i.
Tutorial Fellow
Applicants must be holders of
Masters degree in Music from a recognized university.
In addition, the applicant must have the following:

At
least three (3) years teaching experience
·
Prepared
to pursue Ph. D degree in the area of specialization
·
Competent
in the area of African instruments and dances
ii.
Studio Technician and Instructor –
Grade A/B
·
Applicants
should be holders of KCE division III/ KCSE mean grade C (plain) and above.
They should have at least ten (10) years experience as a Performing Musician
and Studio Engineer.
In addition applicants should have the following:

At
least two (2) years work experience in a busy teaching institution or studio
·
Working
experience with Macintosh operational systems and conversant with studio
programmes including Pro – tools, Logic Pro, Garage Band and Fruity Loops
·
Instructional
knowledge in the following:
§ Music recording, concert
production and staging
§ Computing and sequencing
techniques
§ Music and Multimedia
7. HEALTH UNIT
i.
Senior
Public Health Officer
Applicants must be holders of
Masters Degree in Public Health and Epidemiology. They should have a basic
Diploma in Environmental Health and Higher Diploma in Food Science and
Inspection or Occupational Health and Safety or Solid Waste Management, or an equivalent
qualification from Kenya Medical Training College or any other recognized
institution.
In addition applicants must have the following:

At
least eight (8) years relevant work experience preferably in a busy institution
·
Computer
literate
ii.
E-Hospital ICT Assistant – Grade
C/D
Applicants must be holders of KCE
division II/ KCSE mean grade C+ (plus) and above. They must also have a
Bachelors of Science degree in Information Technology or relevant qualification
from a recognized institution.
In addition the applicant must
have at least two (2) years work experience in a busy ICT environment
Applicants with an ICT Diploma and
three (3) years experience in networking and PC support will also be
considered.
Knowledge and experience in a hospital or clinic
management system will be an added advantage.
8.
TRANSPORT OFFICE
Driver
- Grade III/IV (Main Campus)
Applicants must be holders of KCE
Division IV or KCSE mean Grade D+ (plus) and above. In addition applicants must
have:
·
Class ABCE certificate with a
clean driving record
·
At
least five (5) years continuous driving experience
·
A
PSV certificate
·
An
up-to-date valid certificate of good conduct
·
Excellent
communication skills
Holders of a certificate of
vehicle mechanics/maintenance and repair will have an added advantage.
Terms
of Service:
The terms of service for the above
include a generous medical scheme, house allowance and commuting allowance.
Successful candidates will be offered two (2) year renewable performance -
based contract and gratuity will be paid at the end of the contract.
