Our Enterprise Risk consultants work hand in hand with our clients to help them understand business risks, determine acceptable levels of exposure, implement controls, and provide ongoing measurement and monitoring of the risk environment and of compliance. As an integral part of this team, you shall experience firsthand, the dynamics in providing solutions ranging from assessment to transformation, involving process redesign and technology implementation.
As a Consultant, you will be a valuable resource in our Enterprise Risk Services function in Uganda, focusing on the following:
- Carry out all assignments in accordance with the Firm's standards, procedures and methodologies, while conforming to agreed time and money budgets.
- Ensure that all assignments are well planned and draft client reports for the engagement manager.
- Develop data procurement skills.
- Maintain good client relationships by ensuring that client expectations are met expeditiously, queries are responded to and delivering value added service.
- Continuously seek ways to develop innovative practical solutions to clients' issues/concerns.
- Promote practice economics by ensuring billing and collections are done expeditiously.
- Develop and manage sound business relationships, and market the Firm with the aim of maintaining and winning new business.
- Keep abreast with technical developments in the profession and the country, in order to anticipate client needs, and offer value added and practical business solutions.
- Leverage knowledge and contribute to proper knowledge management within the department.
Information Technology (IT) Tasks:
- Perform IT risk assessments, identify issues and develop effective practical solutions to our clients' challenges;
- Identify weaknesses/problem areas and develop effective corrective action plans;
- Perform data analysis using a CAATs tool.
As the ideal candidate for this position, you should posses the following attributes:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce or equivalent ;
- Professional qualifications in either CISSP, CISA, CISM or CIA;
- Qualification in CPA or ACCA is an added advantage;
- At least 2 years business experience preferably in the area of risk management;
- Working experience of ITIL, Oracle, SAP, T24 and FlexCube;
- Experience in system requirements definition, systems selection and implementation would be an added advantage;
- Willingness to think 'outside the box';
- Strong analytical skills;
- Well developed fact finding and problem solving abilities;
- Team player with the ability to work under pressure and deal effectively with individuals at all levels;
- Ability to adapt methodologies and techniques to unique circumstances; and
- A lot of energy and enthusiasm.
