Job Title: Regional Coordinator- Social Franchising and Voucher Schemes • 4 Posts
Reporting to the Senior Manager:
Social Franchising and Demand-side Financing
Reporting to the Senior Manager: Social Franchising and Demand-side Financing, the regional coordinator-Social Franchising and Voucher schemes’ main role is to provide leadership and expedite implementation of social franchising and demand-side financing activities in the region by ensuring efficient coordination of resources, information and stakeholders, routine schedule management and activity status tracking. A key performance indicator will be a high performing network of private health providers. This person is expected to be able to interface comfortably with all regional key external stakeholders as well as MSU Directors and managers.
It is particularly important that the post holder is able to sustain a close and collaborative partnership with operational staff in the support office and field, so that project deliverables remain a focus of operational activities. This post holder will be able to work productively with the Research, Monitoring & Evaluation, Operations and Social Franchising teams to ensure that programme activities serve the indicators in MSU’s M&E framework.
Your role will be to:
1) Provide overall technical and management oversight of MSU’s activities in the regions.
2) Provide leadership to the regional project staff by ensuring the proper and successful development and motivation of all team members.
3) Oversee the implementation and effective management of Voucher Distribution activities in the region
4) Oversee the implementation and effective management of the BCC and marketing campaigns in the region.
5) Ensure that project activities are executed on time, to design and on budget.
6) Facilitate, coordinate and maintain effective and productive communication and professional relationships with all the stakeholders within the region i.e. the District Directors of Health Services, other relevant district leaders and policy makers, NGOs, BlueStar franchisees on behalf of MSU.
7) Manage and promote the corporate image of the organisation within the region.
8) Work in conjunction with the SFDF to ensure that all communication activities relating to the project (public relations, marketing and behaviour change communication)
9) Ensure that monitoring and evaluation and quality assurance functions are executed according to design and on time.
10) Participates in the development of a strong financial and management information system to monitor project performance and progress against stated objectives.
11) Ensure and support quality record keeping and correct implementation of franchisee service reporting, as well as validation of reports against in-clinic records
12) Assist in coordinating formal franchisee trainings within the region.
Requirement:
Qualifications, Skills and Experience Qualifications: • Registered nurse/midwife, Comprehensive nurse, midwife with-a diploma in Administration and a TOT. • BSc Nursing is an added advantage. • Some management experience desirable. • Must be registered with the Nurses and Midwives Council. • A minimum of 2 years’ practical experience in an established health facility. Experience: • Management professional with 3 years work experience, including leadership roles • Minimum of 3 years client-facing experience. • A strong background working on client-care and improvements to client satisfaction • A private sector working experience is an added advantage. • Experience of coaching and training, Skills: • Proven excellent technical oral, written, and editing abilities; ability to present and write influentially for multiple audiences • World class project management skills • Ability to work well with others in team environments; must be able to satisfy stakeholders; should be able to work in deadline driven/results orientated atmospheres • Strong people management skills • Able to work as part of a team, building consensus and driving change • Able to think strategically Good planner Attitude / Motivation: • Pro-choice and interested in reproductive health • Driven to deliver on project goals to achieve MSU’s mission • Keen interest in people and making a difference in the World • Motivated personally and professionally to develop as a leader within MSI • Willingness to travel as requested.
