Grants Specialist Job at Tetra Tech ARD

Tetra Tech, through its subsidiary Tetra Tech ARD (http://www.tetratechintdev.com), a US-based international development firm is implementing a USAID-funded project "The Tanzania Water Resources Integration Development Initiative" (WARIDI) which seeks to achieve improvements in health, water resources management, agriculture, climate~ change adaptation and the' environment in the wami-Ruvu and Rufiji river basins. Tetra Tech is advertising for the position of Grants Specialist to be based in the WARIDI/Iringa Offices. All applicants should be Tanzanian citizens and be fluent in Swahili and English. This position is for immediate start and would be required to start as soon as possible. Ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity and gender are essential requirements.

Grants Specialist 

Position Requirements:

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in an equivalent position with USAID grants under Contract or grants under Agreement. Experience working in a similar position for an NGO or an international organization is preferred. Must also have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Education:
University Degree in business, accounting, economics, or similar field (relevant experience and another university degree may substitute for the degrees mentioned).

Responsibilities: 
In coordination with Grants Manager, ensures full compliance to applicable rules and regulations for grantees; provide assistance with the administrative and financial tracking of grants; manage all grant-related information to ensure that the files are compliant, up to date and maintained in the Grants'Management System; participate in grant applicant site visitations and organizational assessments, and help populate the database showing baseline and organizational capacity growth; monitoring grantee performance toward indicators and maintain database logging PMP milestones; review grantee quarterly reports for achievement of milestones, burn-rate, compliance with applicable USAID regulations, and prepare and maintain reports,
