SENIOR TECHNICAL OFFICER- GENDER AND YOUTH (1 POSITION)
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead integration of USAID Boresha Afya' Gender, Respectful maternity Care (RMC) Youth Friendly Services(YFS) and male engagement at both community and facility level in the program regions
• Contribute to design and development of gender strategies and tools and support the execution of gender analysis to identify barriers for the uptake of RMNCAH services.
• Work with gender technical Advisor to develop and/or adopt integrated gender, RMC, YFS, and male engagement learning resource packages for health workers (both community-based and facility-based) and community group dialogue guide on gender norms to remove barriers on RM2NCAH services
• Cood,uct trainings for health workers (both community and facility-based), relevant government officials such as police officers, social welfare officers and civil society partners to
build capacity on gender sensitive health service delivery, GBV prevention, RMC/Disrespect & Abuse prevention, YFS and engaging men in health.
• Support Program Technical advisors to strengthen gender components of training and job aids for and by community health workers.
• Build capacity of local CSOs to mainstream gender, YFS, RMC and male engagement into their narratives and budget implementation plans and reporting systems as required.
• Work closely with technical leads to provide inputs during development of regional/districts work plans to ensure gender, RMC, YFS, and male engagement have well considered in both plans and budgets.
• Participate in integrated supportive supervision to monitor strategies and progress of gender, RMC, YFS, and male engagement to both communities/CSOs and facility health service delivery and provide mentorship as it deemed necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
First degree in gender, Nursing, Social sciences, community development with minimum of 3 years' experience supporting youth and/or gender integration to Reproductive, Maternal and Child health programs [Advanced degree in public health, social sciences or community development will be an added advantage]
• A minimum of 6 years' experience in developing, providing technical assistance to, coordinating and managing RMNH programs.
• Demonstrated experience in working with rural communities to address health challenges
• Understanding of national and international policies related to gender and youths
• Ability to translate policies into programs at community level
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-discipline team-based organizational structure
• Strong decision making skills and results oriented approach
• Excellent written and spoken Swahili and English. Presentation, communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated in-depth understanding of Tanzania healthcare system, particularly the public health system in Tanzania preferred
• Strong skills in word processing and Excel spread sheets
• Ability to travel up to 40% time
• Understanding USAID programs is desirable
• Understanding of RMNCH service deliveries and management is preferred

SENIOR MONITORING & EVALUATION MANAGER, REPRODUCTIVE, MATERNAL, NEWBORN AND CHILD HEALTH (RMNCH)
REQUIREMENTS
• Advanced degree in public health, demography, statistics, social sciences or related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of eight years of work experience in monitoring and evaluating health and/or development projects
• Demonstrated expertise working in a leadership capacity with international donors, senior government officials and policymakers
• Demonstrated strong management, coordination, teamwork and planning skills with proven ability to function effectively with multiple host-country counterparts in both the public and NGO sectors
• M&E experience in reproductive, maternal, child and newborn health (RMNCH) and Pre service Education
• Familiarity with Tanzania health management information system and other national M&E systems
• Proven expertise in quantitative and qualitative methodologies, operations research, health management information systems, reporting, data quality assessments, data analysis and presentation
• Experience and understanding of USAID and PEPFAR framework and reporting system
• Excellent writing and communications skills, including demonstrated technical writing skills for publication
• Ability to work effectively with diverse international teams
• Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and intense pressure to perform
