Management Accountant

Purpose of the Position
Give financial and business support to Insurance operations and Insurance Management team.

The Successful candidate will be based in Dar Es Salaam and will report to the Financial
Controller

Duties and Responsibilities
Preparation of monthly Management Accounts as per reporting time table.
In charge of budgeting, monitoring and forecasting
Verification of expenditure/purchase requisitions
In charge of Broker accounts reconciliations
In charge of debtors management
In charge of Reinsurer reports .
Fund accounts analysis and their reconciliation to the general ledger, Computation and tracking of fund balances on a weekly basis, Preparing spend per member schedules to track individual benefit limits. In charge of monthly fund statement and
Follow up on fund top-ups to ensure that accounts do not fall below IBNR levels.
Handling, SBP refunds and other claims.
Preparation of quarterly report packs
In charge 'of Reinsurance payments management
Assist in, budgeting and forecasting processes
Preparation of periodic regulatory reports as per TIRA requirements
Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate will possess the following minimum qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor or Advanced Diploma in Accounting .
Professional qualification: CPA(T) or ACCA

Minimum 3 years as an accountant with proven skills in budgeting, monitoring, reporting and preparation of Management Accounts preferably in an Insurance firm.
