The management of Kirinda District Hospital, located in Karongi District Western Province, in collaboration with the Presbyterian Church in Rwanda is seeking to recruit the HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATOR (ADMINISTRATEUR - GESTIONAIRE)
1. Major duties and key responsibilities
Under supervision of the hospital director the hospital administrator will be responsible of the following activities:
• Participate in the human resource management process in accordance with the national policies and the board directives
• Participate in decision making issues including recruitment, sanction, transfers, nomination of staff before submission to the board,
• Participate in the management committee meeting
• Enhance performance based attitude and coordinate the accreditation process of the hospital
• In collaboration with the human resource officer, participate in personnel conflict resolution
• In collaboration with the human resource officer, elaborate and implement the capacity development plan
• Assure proper and rational management of the health facility stocks
• Manage the processes of auction or destruction of damaged materials and expires items of the hospital according to the national procedures
• Participate in the determination of the depreciation status of the health facility materials and assets
• Control the management and maintenance of the assets in the hospital.
• Regularly supervise and evaluate the rehabilitation and construction needs of the hospital
• Supervise and carry out the local feasibility study of necessary works
• Collect comparative invoices (from the procurement office)
• Supervise the construction process in the health facility
• Participate in the elaboration of the annual reports of rehabilitation and construction works in the hospital
• Supervise the daily usage of funds allocated for the daily running of the hospital
• Supervise and approve the monthly hospital financial reports
• In collaboration with the hospital director and the accountant, carry out quarterly hospital budget projection for the hospital
• Ensure the analytical follow up of the usage of funds allocated for the hospital by source and utilization categories
• In collaboration with the accountant, elaborate the annual financial balance sheet
• Regularly elaborate hospital financial reports for submission to the central level and other stakeholders
• Together with the accountant carry out the bugdetization of planned activities
• In collaboration with the hospital director put up strategies for income generation
• Participate in the management of logistics, trainings and planning for health related activities for the district and the hospital
• Carry out any other assigned activity.
2. Skills
• Being Rwandan of nationality
• Bachelor degree in hospital management, business administration, public administration or any related field
• Additional trainings: Human resource management and planning with experience of 5 years in hospital management,
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Computer literacy
• Well-organized and efficient planner
• Fluency in English and/or French, knowledge of both being an add.
• Ability to mobilize multiple teams.
• Female candidates are encouraged to apply.
