Role Purpose To coordinate Data Centre strategies and ensure the effective setup of the Information Security Management System including the Business Continuity Framework in all Millicom Operations in Africa. The candidate shall: • Support high level planning, and coordinate for Master Plans to meet Data Centre demands over the next 3 years in Africa. • Define the Data Centre planning and management guide-lines & specification (Tools, Capacity KPIs, etc.). •Support the roll out of the Information Security Baselines and immediate company Information Security targets in line with ISO 27000 recommendations in Africa Operations. •Effectively put in place a Business Continuity Program for African operations to ensure minimal downtime of Services and proper approach to handling disaster situations. •Ensure that the Information Security, Business Continuity and Data Centre Strategies are aligned to support the company’s goal of minimal downtime and maximum protection. Maintain Data Centres and Switch Rooms To take ownership of all the specification around Data Centres, Switch Rooms and Infrastructure across the different African Operations. These mainly include reviews of the Infrastructure to ensure they meet redundancy and resiliency requirements as per TIER 2/3 of the TIA-942 standard. Key deliverables: Reviews of Data Centres as per TIA 942 standard and Data Centre KPIs 2.Data Centre and Switch Room Operational Management To Setup and maintain a day to day operational management program of the Data Centres and switch rooms to ensure long term maintenance targets in terms of equipment tracking, power monitoring, cooling efficiencies and connectivity requirements are met and also ensuring that DC operational best practices are followed. To constantly look for ways and means to optimize the Data Centre and reduce risk to the telecom operations. Key deliverables: Sustainable Operational Management of the Data Centres and Switch Rooms. 3.Data Centre and Switch Rooms Planning Assess the sizing of Data Centres and ensure proper solutions are put in place to ensure that the network expansions plans are in line with the power, cooling and space requirements. To produce, maintain and implement a 3 years Data Centre expansion plan in line with an approved network strategy and within performance targets. To ensure procurement activities deadlines are met. Key Deliverables: 3 years Data Centre plan 4. Information Security Management System Setup and review To assess Information Security maturity in each operations in Africa and ensure that the proper operational setup is in place to achieve the information security targets and make recommendations for acquisitions, improvements etc. To put in place the appropriate security functions in line with ISO 27000 standard and in accordance to the company’s policies and procedures. To assess Information Security risks and make recommendations to bring them to acceptable levels. Key deliverables: Structured Information Security Functions in each operation with clear targets. Information security KPIs 6. Business Continuity Management Program Support Business Continuity Program roll out with the aim to enable the Operations in Africa to sustain critical business operations throughout a disruption and help to manage the company's internal emergency and crisis management activities. Review the Operations business impact analyses (BIAs), map critical business processes and interdependencies and assess the relevant business continuity plans to ensure it effectively meets the requirements. Work with internal offices and teams globally to respond to and manage disasters, crises, and disruptive incidents affecting the operations in Africa. Key deliverables: Business Continuity Plans for critical systems in each operations together with a tested crisis Management plan. Position Requirements 1. QUALIFICATION Ideally 5 years of Experience in the IT telecommunications sector, Have a strong management background in the IT, infrastructure and telecommunication industry preferably in the Information Security, Business Continuity and Data Centre Management Area. The ideal candidate should have experience as an Information Security and Business Continuity leader. Proven Experience in rolling out ISO 27000 including achieving Certification are required. The candidate should have strong knowledge of Data Centres and its operations. Excellent communication skills, in English and French both written and verbal are critical. The candidate must be comfortable presenting complex concepts and topics to executive management in a clear and concise manner and must be able to address a multi-cultural audience especially in certain operations in Africa where they are essentially French speaking. QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE • •Knowledge: a)Sound Knowledge of DC Infrastructure, DC Management and TIA-942 Standard b)Strong Expertise in the Information Security Field c) Business Continuity Management knowledge Desired Qualifications: •Master’s Degree in IT/Engineering/Information Security •Certified Information Security/IT/Engineering Professionals •Certified Business Continuity Management Professionals • Data Centre Certifications GENERIC SKILLS: - Communication / leadership / project management -Willingness and openness to travel to all our operations in Ghana, Rwanda, Tanzania, Chad, Congo DRC, Senegal and Mauritius. Travelling is 50% , one to two weeks travel per month is required.
