Job Summary

The Emerging Markets division provides specialised professional services associated with the planning, design, implementation, evaluation and monitoring of development programmes across a range of physical, economic, and social infrastructure sectors.
Cardno Emerging Markets, Particip and COWI, have recently submitted an Expression of Interest in being invited to tender for the consulting services for “Monitoring, evaluation, communication and visibility for food & nutrition security and sustainable agriculture and Advisory Services for sustainable agriculture and sustainable food systems”. The services to be provided under this contract will comprise technical advice, studies, support to assist operational managers in HQ, Delegations and Partner Countries to improve project design, monitoring and evaluation and result frameworks. It also encompasses an inventory of best practices of EU’s support in the areas of sustainable agriculture and food security. The services will work in full coherence and complementarity with advisory services aiming at addressing under-nutrition and social transfers through EU external assistance.

Key Responsibilities
Qualifications and skills:
- Post-graduate University degree (Masters level or higher) in one of the following disciplines; Public Relations, Communications or Journalism or equivalent
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- At least 10 years of experience in leading knowledge management and information dissemination activities for international development
- Proven project management skills, and ability to work with diverse and highly skilled personnel in team environment
- Proven facilitation and collaboration skills working with multi-level stakeholders, including technical and subject matter experts, donor agencies, local partners, researchers and others
- Minimum of 5 years of driving strategic interventions to enhance visibility of projects
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in stakeholder engagement, using different media to drive communication, knowledge management and capacity development
- Management of/ experience on EU funded projects is an advantage
Other Requirements
The project is scheduled to start in November 2013 and the duration will be approximately 48 months.
