Position Summary
Futures Group is seeking a Chief of Party to provide overall strategic direction and leadership. Individual task orders are expected to engage youth in several technical fields including livelihoods, civil society, health, and/or education.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate all IDIQ-related activities and management of key personnel.
- Lead client and stakeholder relations, including with other donor organizations with whom coordination is essential
- Liaise directly with USAID and other collaborating agencies on all programmatic and performance matters
- Work closely with all consortium members to ensure their support, integration, and performance; monitor programmatic, financial, and administrative performance; and identify, develop, and maintain strategic alliances with other donors and stakeholders
- Oversee the preparation of task order proposals, budgets, and negotiations; when new task orders are assigned, the deputy director will organize each new task order team to carry out the work in coordination with the principal office operations and field teams.
- Organize the operations of the principal project office and ensure adequate staffing to carry out the work.
- Ensure that all project work follows USAID regulations and ensure the development and management of a high-quality monitoring and evaluation system.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or higher in international affairs, development studies, economics, education or related fields.
- Experience leading USAID-funded programs related to youth and workforce development
- Minimum of 10 years of experience working with sustainable livelihoods; workforce development; microenterprise development; improving educational quality and access; development of youth leadership or civic engagement programs; and monitoring and evaluation of youth specific projects.
- Experience leading teams of 15 or more expat and local consultants in development programs abroad.
- Experience managing donor-funded grant programs of $10 million or more.
- Experience working with officials of ministries of education, youth and/or labor.
