Purpose:
Under the overall guidance of the Senior Education Specialist and under the direct supervision of the Education and Peacebuilding Programme Manager, you will lead on the monitoring and tracking of the programme.
Qualification:
Advanced university degree in Education, or other Social Sciences, with major concentration in statistics, monitoring and evaluation or peacebuilding.*
Five years of relevant work experience at the national and international levels in programme management, monitoring and evaluation, across education, peacebuilding and other related fields. Fluency in English and another UN language.
*A first level university degree with a relevant combination of academic qualifications and experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Description of responsibility: Education and Peacebuilding data and information system Establish and maintain an education and peacebuilding data and information system to support the programme accountabilities, tracking of progress as per the Results Framework. End Result(s): A Monitoring and Tracking System of education and peacebuilding related data and information.
Description of responsibility: Conflict analysis and monitoring tools and processes Develop and/or introduce appropriate approaches, data collection methodologies, tools, monitoring methods and frameworks for tracking progress at global level, including tools for conflict analyses and conflict sensitivity and indicators and process for establishing a programme baseline. End Result(s): Tools and processes that supports a relevant results framework and achievement of the 5 programme outcomes.
Description of responsibility: Coordinate Programme reviews and Liaison with Evaluation Office Lead internal programme reviews including establishing baselines; provide inputs into evaluative work on the Education and Peacebuilding Programme to be managed by the Evaluation Office; End Result(s): Technical inputs provided to evaluation of the programme, resulting in improved insights in the programme’s overall performance.
Description of responsibility: Reporting Draft relevant sections of statutory reports (annual reports, donor reports, management, etc.) and publications; and verify accuracy, timeliness and appropriateness of education contributions in overall reports. End Result(s): Timely and accurate programme reporting.
Description of responsibility: Integration of Programme Knowledge and Monitoring Systems into Section Activities and Level 3 Monitoring. Provide technical inputs to Education Section hubs and other Sections/divisions to enable integration of programme learning on monitoring of results in conflict affected contexts is shared and informs wider programming and vice versa. Will include working with Section M&E on Level 3 monitoring End Result(s): Programme learning and M&E in conflict affected contexts shared and used across UNICEF and by partners.
