Africare is seeking a Nutrition Specialist for an anticipated Zambia Economic Resilience Program for Improved Food Security (ZERS) program which will enhance coping skills, build assets, and increase incomes for vulnerable households by improving food security through strengthened economic resilience.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for improving nutrition practices, including enhancing diet quality, changing food preparation practices, and addressing household inequalities.
• Synchronize nutrition-related interventions with the USAID Food and Nutrition Strategic Plan • Format and design the nutrition program Requirements:
• Advanced Degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Nursing or Related Field
• 5+ years of experience with program management and staff supervision, including improving nutrition practices and food security
• Experience working with USAID funded nutrition projects and economic development
• Experience working with providing and promoting gender equality within food programs
• Knowledge and experience with providing nutrition best practices
• Written and oral fluency in English
