Africare is seeking an HIV/AIDS Specialist for an anticipated Zambia Economic Resilience Program for Improved Food Security (ZERS) program which will enhance coping skills, build assets, and increase incomes for vulnerable households by improving food security through strengthened economic resilience.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the implementation of the HIV/AIDS health activities with existing USAID projects in the Eastern province of Zambia
• Design an HIV/AIDS awareness project to incorporate the HIV/AIDS Abstinence / Be Faithful (HVAB) project
• Coordinate with Senior staff to integrate HIV/AIDS programming into food security projects
Requirements:
• Masters Degree in International Development, Social Work, International or Public Health, or Related Field
• 8+ years of experience with program design and implementation of health activities, including HIV/AIDS awareness training
• Experience working with senior staff for program design and execution
• Experience working with USAID funded health and/or food security programs
• Experience promoting gender equality
• Written and oral fluency in English
