Responsibilities:
• Support the CBR Supervisor in the quality implementation of CBR activities in Nyarugusu refugee camp, ensuring adherence to donor agreement and regulations, as well as IRC Tanzania’s country program strategic plan.
• Support the refugee Assistant Orthopedic Technicians and other refugee incentive staff to meet project objectives by liaising with them, counseling, demonstrating, advising and facilitating.
• Share technical expertise with refugee Assistant Orthopedic Technicians and assist them in planning and fabrication of orthopedic appliances.
• Identify and implement ways to increase awareness of disabilities in the community and organize training/seminars to social workers and community on the management of different types of disabilities.
Requirements:
• Diploma in Orthopedic Technology with at least 3 years relevant experience.
• Experience working in refugee camp setting desirable, knowledge of MS Word; Excel and Outlook required.
• Swahili and good English written and oral skills required. French a plus.
Persons with Special Needs Monitoring Officer
Responsibilities:
• Manage the quality implementation of PSN activities in Nyarugusu refugee camp, ensuring adherence to donor agreement and regulations, as well as IRC Tanzania’s country program strategic plan.
• Monitor the identification of PSNs in the community and maintain a list of PSNs to monitor their care and support (including food and firewood distribution).
• Mobilize PSNs to form their own self help committees, aiming at building self confidence, self governance and self esteem helping them to identify ways to integrate with others into camp community (such as formal education, vocational training, youth activities, and cultural groups)
• Monitor activities conducted by the refugee social workers and provide them with guidance and support in the performance of their activities.
• Ensure PSN activities are well coordinated with those of other IRC sectors and NGOs present in the camps, including community mobilization, referral systems, and creating awareness in an integrated manner. Requirements:
• Diploma in social work or relevant social science with at least 1 year relevant work experience; OR at least 2 years relevant experience.
• Experience working with vulnerable peoples –a must, working in refugee setting-desirable.
• Ability to work independently with a high degree of integrity and knowledge of MS Word; Excel and Outlook required
• Swahili and good English written and oral skills required. French a plus
Community based Rehabilitation (CBR) Orthopedic Technician
Qualifications
• Diploma in orthopedic technology with at least 3 yrs relevant experience
• Experience working in refugee camp setting desirable
• Knowledge of Ms Word; Excel; and Outlook required
• Swahili and Good English written and oral skills required; French a plus
GBV Officer
Qualifications
• Diploma in social work or relevant social science with at least 1 year relevant work experience or at least 3yrs relevant work experience
• Experience working in protection and empowerment of women required
• Demonstrated strong commitment and understanding of the issues of violence against women and girls in refugee population highly desirable
• Knowledge of Ms Word; Excel; and Outlook required
People with Special Needs (PSN) Officer

• Diploma in social work or relevant social science with at least 1 year relevant work experience or at least 2yrs relevant work experience
• Experience working with vulnerable peoples – a must , working in refugee setting desirable

Operations Officer
Qualifications
• Diploma in materials management, accounts or any other related qualification
• Proven competency in both written and spoken English and Kiswahili with strong command in computer literacy
• Able to drive and with a clean driving license
• Prior experience working in a similar position is a added advantage
