Rapid Recruitment for French speakers
Deployments of 4 – 6 months in various West African locations
Starting salary: £20,619 - £27,642 net per annum
All posts are unaccompanied
Almost 12 million people across the Sahel region of West Africa are threatened by a food crisis in 2012. This has arisen as a consequence of the poor 2011 rainy season, leading to significant crop and pasture deficits (25% reduction in cereal production) and high food prices (up to 40-60% above the 5 year average). Compounding this situation are recent outbreaks of conflict within the region (most notably Northern Mali) causing the displacement of people and limiting access to affected areas. Oxfam is responding to both the Food Crisis and the displacement of people and as such is rapidly scaling up its programmes.
Oxfam GB is currently recruiting for skilled and experienced HR Managers in order to support the emergency response in West Africa.
This is an emergency response. Due to the rapid scale up we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. We will only contact those shortlisted for the position and may appoint prior to the closing date.
