FaBS’ goal is to substantially improve private sector competitiveness in general and financial intermediation in particular, as key drivers of sustainable economic growth and reduced poverty in Ethiopia. The program will focus on three objectives: broadening the financial sector, increasing private sector capability to effectively promote reform, and improve business development services for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
Responsibilities: • Responsible for coordinating technical activities of the project with other relevant development projects and relevant ministries to ensure complimentary results. • Work closely with the COP to facilitate project implementation related to budget planning, monitoring and evaluation, and facilitate project communication. • Coordinate activities with other donors, particularly as related to delivery of firm level support to ensure optimal use of donor resources. • Engage industry associations in coordinating activities and interactions with beneficiaries.
Qualifications: • A minimum of 8 years experience working on similar donor-funded projects. • Experience coordinating and facilitating activities on donor-funded projects, preferably projects related to business and financial services. • Strong communication skills and well-established networks within the donor community. • Master’s degree in business, economics, or related field. • Africa, particularly East Africa, experience preferred. • English fluency, written and oral, required.
