Job description:
The Industrial Air Division in the Middle East region has been awarded several projects that entails challenging contract engineering job.
In this role you will be responsible to provide a high quality and efficient service to all of our customers and interact with the different product companies of the Oil-free Air division to perform the following tasks:
Main Responsibilities:
- To manage orders, achieving client satisfaction in terms of delivery and technical requirements.
- To provide customer service by anticipating and responding to customer queries
- To manage and motivate all resources allocated to the project, therefore enabling a successful completion.
- Prepare and supply documentation as required of the contract.
- The candidate is to be responsible for the project engineering support of various projects from conceptual and detailed design stage through engineering, production, performance testing and dispatch to customer.
- Execute project engineering support activates to various projects.
- Act as main coordination link between client and factory.
- Address material and schedule concerns with client and Airpower.
- Responsible for proper review and processing of variations and claims received from customer and Airpower.
- Provide input to cost estimates and budget.
- Coordinate and participate in formal design and engineering reviews, technical and commercial impact by customer and by Airpower.
- Keep management well informed on the high level aspects of project execution.
- Manage budget, procurement and schedules for various projects.
- Monitor the overall progress of projects against schedule and milestones reporting to management, as well as providing early warning of potential slippage, in case of the latter; propose remedial actions so that the contract completion data for the work is not jeopardized.
Experience requirements:
- Proven experience as a contract engineer, or project management.
Knowledge:
The following requirements are essential:
- Knowledge and practical experience of software including draught techniques (including CAD, MS office, Windows, Lotus Notes, MS Projects)
- Self motivated
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Able to plan and organize effectively.
- Excellent pc skills.
- Able to work individually and as part of a team.
The following requirements are desirable:
- currently working within the compressed air industry
- good standard of knowledge of the compressor air industry.
Educational requirements:
Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or corresponding experience in the industry; preferably in oil & gas/power sectors.
Fluent in English.
Knowledge and experience of Autocad or equivalent packages is a requirement.
