Becoming a business partner to strategic customers and preferred supplier with winning customers is key to reaching our ambitions in this area and hence we are looking for a Decision Support Analyst for Global Accounts to help us provide much needed customer & competitive intelligence, performance tracking systems as well as analytics for strategic business decisions. This role will also be expected to face off to the customer, particularly in the areas of data management and performance
Location of the role is London.
Purpose of Role
Provide performance tracking and analysis of our strategic and key customers as well as industry intelligence to Global Account Directors, Finance Director, Global Sales, Chief Customer Officer, and in market Sales and Customer Marketing Teams as basis for strategic business decisions and solution development.
Key Accountabilities
1) Provide the Global Account Directors with a deep understanding of the performance of their accounts that helps them to:
- Jointly own with markets the performance delivery from their accounts
- Better understand our business with our customers
- Improve & sustain the relationships with our customers
- Enhance visibility on where value is being created to enable prioritization and focus whilst supporting strategic decision making
2) Provide the Exec, SLT community and Board with outstanding performance tracking and understanding.
- Monthly reporting of account performance, using internal and external data sources
- Identification of financial risks and opportunities
- Putting global account performance into context, by comparing with market, category and competitor performance.
3) Customer & Competitive Intelligence:
- Create and maintain a database of Global & Strategic Customers that maintains integrity of data/classifications across Diageo
- Identify and resolve data issues in order to ensure reliable, accurate and consistent data for end users
4) Efficienty manage and utilise the multiple data sources required to perform the role effectively
- Manage external customer data, and work with the customer to ensure its integrity and consistency.
- Develop data management solutions that allow final end users to focus on using the data to drive value from better decisions, minimizing their time spent on data management and administration
- Work with IS / 3rd Parties to manage master files of Customer Sales Data
- Utilise external data sources from agencies such as MVI/Kantar, Nielsen, IRI to provide greater understanding of performance trends.
Qualifications and experience required
- Financial acumen and highly numerate
- Demonstrable expertise in data and systems management as well as analytics
- Experience of Retail environment, and/or CPG a distinct advantage
- Languages: English plus one other desirable
- Previous experience in a Commercial Finance role.
