Southern Highlands Participatory Organisation (SHIPO) is searching for an experienced Senior Manager for the Integrated Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Program (iWASH) in Njombe. For more information on SHIPO please visit our web-site www.shipo-tz.org or contact us.
Tasks:
- Manage the iWASH program in Njombe (planning, coordinating, supervising, budget tracking and timely reporting). The iWASH program focuses on Multiple-Use Water Services (MUS) this is a consumer-oriented approach to water service delivery that takes people’s multiple domestic and productive water needs aiming to raise up the life standard of the community members.
- Further development the training centre basically on low cost integrated water, hygiene and sanitation solutions (developing strategy, marketing, fund raising, planning, reporting, coordinate staff and institutions in Tanzania and abroad).
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience working with water related programs providing a variety of water services to small towns and villages.
- Must have served in other institutions/organisations in the highest management level for 5 years minimum, including developing strategy, implementing work-plans, coordinating with partners, supervising, reporting and achieving results within budget.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and negotiation skills in Kiswahili and English.
- Willingness to travel and work irregular hours under pressure.
- Must be a self-starter, quick thinker, innovative and able to work independently and in a team.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of the NGO/development sector.
- Must have experience in proposal writing, fundraising, marketing and finance related matters.
- Master degree in water engineering or closely related field. (PhD is an added advantage).
