Major Duties, responsibilities and output expectations
50% 1. Coordinate the cash transfers/vouchers M&E activities, link with implementing partners for the collection of data, support the analysis of cash transfers/vouchers data in collaboration with the third part monitoring partners, coordinate the development of a beneficiaries database EXPECTED OUTPUT: Cash transfers/ vouchers M&E activities are coordinated and harmonized among UNICEF different implementing partners 20% 2. Produce lessons learnt on emergency cash transfers/vouchers to inform future development of the program for middle and long term strategy EXPECTED OUTPUT: Capitalization and lessons learnt on the emergency cash transfers/vouchers programs are produced to inform a possible development of the program into a social protection program
30% 3. Support the program coordinator in different tasks such as participation to coordination meeting with partners, supervision of implementing partners, writing of activities reports EXPECTED OUTPUT: UNICEF emergency cash transfers/vouchers is successfully implemented and UNICEF is an active member of the cash working group
Qualifications and experience
Education: Master’s Degree in Social Science, Social Policy or related discipline.
Work experience: At least five years professional work experience in emergency program monitoring and evaluation, experience in emergency cash transfers program implementation. Previous experience in emergency context will be an added benefit.
Language: Fluency in English another UN language is required. Working knowledge of Somali is an asset.
Skills: • Good analytical skills and capacity to resume complex and large amounts of information into simple and easy to handle frameworks • Excellent interpersonal, negotiating and consultative skills to facilitate the liaison and participation of various collaborators • Strong ability to work fast and under pressure • Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment • Good knowledge of the main word processing and excel tools required. Other software knowledge (such as SPSS or statistics software) could be an advantage • Experience in training and ability to organize and implement training sessions is an asset • Knowledge of results oriented frameworks and human-rights based approach and previous experience in its implementation is an asset
