IFC is growing its portfolio of equity investments in the above sectors and plans to recruit Equity specialists with expertise in at least one of the indicated sectors. The Equity specialists will initially focus on developing investment leads and securing mandates; they will also have a key role in negotiations with clients, tracking the performance of investments, developing strategies and contributing to IFC’s global repository of equity/mezzanine product knowledge. Requirements:
• MBA or equivalent and 10+ years’ experience in finance, including at least 5 years as a direct investor in equity investments and a proven track record of originating transactions in emerging markets.
• Recognized skills in developing new business, and in grasping in an exact and quick manner the strengths and weaknesses of client companies.
• Experience in portfolio management and exit facilitation.
Positions are likely to be based in: Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing, New Delhi, Mumbai, Dubai, Nairobi, Dakar, Johannesburg, Istanbul, Moscow, Sao Paulo, London and Washington D.C.
