Our Client Mantrac Tanzania limited is part of the Mantrac Group – which is the Caterpillar dealer in nine countries on three continents. Mantrac Tanzania Ltd is the sole authorized dealer for Caterpillar Products in Tanzania.  The organization distributes and supports the full range of CAT construction equipment and is the sole approved supplier of Caterpillar parts, which are available at competitive prices.

Job purpose:
The Finance Manager will be responsible for the overall commercial strategy and direction of the business in terms of profitability, cash and working capital management, control of fixed assets and internal controls.

Roles & Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Budgeting financial planning and working capital management
• Creating the financial plan in line with the general annual work plan
• Responsibility for cash generation within the entire business
• Interpreting the company’s performance, presenting it to the Board
• Responsibility for the development, implementation and satisfactory operation of internal controls within the business through top grade internal audit
• Responsibility for FOREX sourcing and setting parameters for product pricing
• Responsibility for communication of and compliance with group accounting procedures throughout the business

• Responsibility for leading the procurement committee
• Cooperating with management within Mantrac Tanzania and other Mantrac groups, including Directors and management of UNATRAC Group and Caterpillar
• Being the point of contact for major customer groups, banks, inspection and clearing/forwarding agents
• Regular traveling in and outside the country
• Acting on behalf of the MD when required

Requirements

 Qualification and experience required:

• CPA/ACCA holder

• At  least  four years in heading finance in a commercial environment, leading a team of 5+ staff
• Proven ability in creating and implementing controls, policies and procedures
• Experience in a related industry is an added advantage
• Experience in overseeing procurement is an added advantage
• Ability to work within the dynamics of a company that is part of a group with operations in other countries and continents
