Sales, Distribution & Marketing Manager

The Sales, Distribution and Marketing Manger will be responsible for effective strategic planning and expansion of Tanpack Tissues Ltd’s Sales and Distribution Function. As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for developing strategies to infiltrate all areas of the Tanzanian market, improving distribution and sales on high margin products.
The company owners, Chandaria Group of Kenya, and the General Manager have identified opportunities in the market place to grow the established brands, especially the premium items - Velvex and Rexa Tissue and Hygiene Products.
Its important that you and your team are organised and structured. Team work is very important atTanpack Tissues Ltd. Senior Managers mentor their staff to achieve greater things and you will need to work together to achieve the company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
-Develop own Key Account customers, offering high volume opportunities across all sectors.
-Identify Premium and Mass product category opportunities.
-Manage the customer data base, ensuring follow up and effective new product penetration.
-Manage and coordinate customer pricing deals, price offs, seasonal promotions and discounts.
-Build key brands and create awareness.
-Set weekly, monthly and yearly deliverables against Headline Objectives and regularly report on progress.
-Provide annual strategic plans and reports to the General Manager and Directors.
-Ensure sales teams are mobile through efficient fleet management and on time delivery.
-Ensure professional service cycle from order to delivery to payment collection.
-Delegate effectively to ensure Headline Objectives are reached as a team.

Company Description
Tanpack Tissues Limited was established in Dar es Salaam in late 1995. It is a group company of Chandaria Industries Limited of Nairobi, Kenya.
In Jan 1996, it acquired a tissue manufacturing and converting unit which was under receivership with an objective to produce quality recycled tissue products by utilizing locally available raw materials (waste papers). Because of the nature of its manufacturing process and raw materials, Tanpack is an environmentally friendly industry
The industry's production grew from a meager 600 tons to 3300 tons annually. In the beginning, it was only producing color toilet tissues but gradually with investment in additional plant, machinery, buildings, improved technology and human resources, it expanded its product range. Currently it is producing wide range of tissue and paper products like various grades of toilet tissue, napkins, paper towels, exercise book cover, envelope and bag kraft papers.
Rexa and Velvex are the company's most popular toilet tissue and napkin brands respectively. Company is also exporting tissue to regional markets like DRC and Zambia.
Currently the company is recycling 4000 tons of waste paper with a workforce of 130 people and has created opportunity for self employment to many others in waste papers collection, sorting and delivery.
In the years 2005, 2009 and 2011, the company won President's Manufacturers Award in the medium scale industry category.
