FACULTY OF LAW
POST NO. 3536 - LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER IN THE DEPARTMENT OF PRIVATE LAW
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
The applicants must possess a minimum of a Masters Degree in Law (LL.M) and have experience in the Roman Dutch Legal System. Furthermore, the applicants must demonstrate competence in the teaching of private law courses. Experience in teaching at tertiary level as well as evidence of publications in refereed journals will be an added advantages.
DUTIES:
· The incumbents will be expected to promote the professional development of law students through teaching and the supervision of dissertations in his/her area of expertise.
· The incumbents shall be expected to develop up-to-date study materials, deliver lectures and assess students as per the rules and regulations of the Faculty of Law.
· The incumbents may be assigned administrative duties, and any other duties, to perform either by the Department or by the Faculty from time to time.
CONTRACT DURATION:
The appointment for this post shall be on contract for a period of two years.
REMUNERATION:
The University offers salaries and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.
