Purpose
The jobholder will lead and be responsible for all aspects of Underwriting for unsecured products, Group loan Operations and Collections & Recoveries for all the products, he she will also be responsible for maximising the effectiveness and efficiency of the people, systems, balances and processes that are under their control. He/ She will be member of the Risk Operations senior leadership team reporting to COO
Responsible for Agency/Suppliers recruitment process and their subsequent performance, Ensurecompl1ance to both NBC and group procedures Accountable for the definition, agreement and achievement of pre-delinquency collections and recoveries operational performance objectives
Accountable for building strong relationships with service providers, including 3rd parties and internal areas, to drive out process Improvements and establish operational designs Accountable for- change acceptance and Implementation within the operating environment where the changes Impact the operating design and/or processes
Accountable for ensuring all new and existing processes comply to legal and regulatory requirements and reduce exposure to fraud as well as being supported at an appropriate cost Accountable for reducing costs through improvements to the end-to-end operational design.
Accountable for ensuring quality Mils produced to enable performance and benefits to be monitored and measured
Responsible for ensuring existing systems are being fully utilised by monitoring effectiveness. Pro actively Identify new enhancements or new systems that support business objectives and possible cost reductions
Responsible for the reporting and presentation of monthly performance
Senior Managers and new Initiatives in order to gain agreement from senior managers
Develop and support challenger collection and underwriting strategies through data analysis techniques
Manage the delivery strategy and process enhancements.
Responsible for the planning and implementation of changes to processes or systems Responsible for budget preparation and forecasting fraud trends.
Will be Involved In the supporting the development of budgets and ongoing management of budgets and resourcing of Collections and Recoveries Commission and evaluate research to effect continuous improvement of working practices and processes within areas under their control. Sponsorship of and accountable for, the development and implementation of change projects for areas under their control
Ensure change Is managed In accordance with bank change control governance.
Planning and Influencing the practical implementation of strategic and technical change.
Accountable for base lining and maintaining the end to end operational processes for customers with accounts applications process, pre charge-off collections, charge-off , write-off and agencies. This includes definition, development and maintenance of performance and service metrics for the entire process.
Accountable for maintaining and improving customer satisfaction through process improvements
Accountable for complying to legal and regulatory requirements resolving complaints, including the management of these complaints to the satisfaction of both customers and the Bank Accountable for ensuring operational learning Is adopted from operational performance MI, including complaint Ml
Responsible for the performance management of a staff under their control- performance management etc In accordance with the Bank's standards. Provide clear direction of the COO business objectives translating and prioritising into business performance measures.
Ensure all management and staff under their control has a clear understanding of their personal and team vision, mission, goals and objectives and their expected contribution. Pursue your own development to increase personal effectiveness, acknowledging strengths and areas of development.
Responsible for the deployment, control, motivation, training, assessment. development. direction and recruitment of staff, including various agencies.
Responsible for the maintenance of an effective controls and checks process and workflow monitoring system to ensure efficient service is maintained by Collections environment Build Succession Planning for the department business unit
Reduce attrition and Increase length of service across the department/Unit
Ensure that own fraud knowledge is kept leading edge as well as ensuring appropriate training is made to all subordinates to ensure world class performance at all staff levels

Degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management or any other related field
Experience Required
