Cardno Emerging Markets USA, Ltd. (Cardno) is seeking candidates for a number of Technical Specialists positions for an upcoming DFID-funded Intensifying HIV prevention in Zambia project. The program will be tasked with addressing some of the key HIV prevention gaps in Zambia with an emphasis on mobilizing demand for prevention services by the vulnerable and most at risk populations (MARPs), which will contribute towards reducing citizen’s vulnerability to HIV infection and to the social and economic consequences of HIV and AIDS. Specifically, the activity will provide support to the decentralization of the HIV response with a focus on supporting the community response to HIV which in turn will also strengthen prevention efforts.
Long-term and short-term positions are open in the following technical areas:
■ HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment
■ Most-at-Risk Populations (MARPs)
■ Health System Strengthening
■ Capacity Building
■ Community Development
■ Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)
Qualifications:
■ Advanced degree in public health or related fields
■ 7+ years of mid to senior level experience in the technical area listed above
■ Country experience supporting implementation of Zambia national and provincial level programs
■ Ability to building team capacity, delegating working teams, and developing communities of learning among host country partners and counterparts
■ Excellent interpersonal, writing, and oral presentation skills
