Our Tanzania office has witnessed significant growth in the recent past and is therefore looking for dynamic Tanzanians to join our East Africa region team of experts in various consultancy roles under the service line of Strategy and Operations. For these positions we are targeting individuals with sound intellectual ability, technical skills and flexibility, and are capable of working in multi-talented team environments, to provide value-adding technical and business solutions to our diverse regional clients. The ideal candidates should be self-motivated individuals with excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strategy and Operations:
Our Strategy & Operations practice helps clients make major strategic decisions and implement business improvements. As a member of this team, you will lend your expertise to help offer a broad scope of services to help clients address the full range of top management issues including: strategy development and business planning, customer and channel strategy, operations optimization, investment prioritization, financial and performance management, fund and grant management, and more. We categorize this range of offerings into four major areas namely Strategy, Operations Excellence, Financial Management and Program Leadership.
- Develope client service objectives, which will enable the firm to fulfill its professional responsibilities, and satisfy its clients' needs and exceed their expectations.
- Carry out all assignments in accordance with the Firm's standards, procedures and methodologies, while conforming to agreed time and money budgets.
- Ensure that all assignments are well planned, the team is well briefed and equiped to handle the assignment and that all team and client issues are addressed expeditiously.
- Use judgement to identify risk and apply global and local quality processes and risk procedures to each client.
- Contribute to the developmental of divisional budgets.
- Continuously seek ways to develop innovative practical solutions to clients' issues/concerns and also provide best practices.
- Promote practice economics by ensuring billing and collections are done expeditiously.
- Train and develope the skills of our staff, in accordance with the firm's methodologies and ensure that their is professionally managed per the firm's methodologies and ensure that their performance is professionally managed per the firm's guidelines.
- Develop and manage sound business relationships, and market the Firm with the aim of maintaining and winning new business.
- Identify and follow up cross-selling opportunities and act as a link between the firm and clients.
- Keep abreast with technical developments in the profession and the country, in order to anticipate client needs, and offer value added and practical business solutions.
- Leverage knowledge and contribute to proper knowledge management within the department.
- Any other duties as may be assigned to you from time to time.
The ideal candidate for this position should have:
- 4+ years of experience in financial planning, grants management, implementation, monitoring and reporting;
- Experience developing detailed cost / benefit projections and project plans for associated change (includes project scope, objectives, timelines and deliverables);
- Experience leading mixed teams of consultants and client staff;
- Strong analytic, research and numeric ability;
- Good report writing skills;
- Very high attention to detail;
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision;
- Stellar work ethic, working hard to drive results; and
- Possess a Masters Degree or MBA or post graduate professional qualification in a business related field, such as CPA, CFA or ACCA.
