Location:
Central Office Dar es Salaam with field travel up to 25% of the time
Contract Duration:
One (1) year, with a possibility of renewal depending on the availability of funds
Overall Job Function:
The Successful candidate will apply accounting techniques in dealing with the field office funds management including managing staff advances and liquidation.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and track all program staff payment requests-Travel Advances, Training/Meeting/Workshop Advances
Facilitate prompt deposits for all staff travel advances, trainings, workshops and meetings.
Follow up with long outstanding advance and ensuring that all advances given to staff are being liquidated on timely fashion.
Review all travel business expense report to check on the accuracy, cost realism, sufficient supportingdocumentations and compliance with ICAP financial SOPs
Undertake banking activities for ICAP bank accounts and staff deposits, checking balances, collecting bank statements, cashing cheques, depositing etc
Perform any other relevant duties as may be assigned by superiors from time to time
Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Advanced Diploma or Bachelor degree in Finance or Accounting required. Masters degree in relevant field of study (e.g. MBA Finance, MSc. Finance, Accounting, Corporate Management, or Economics is an added advantage)
CPA (I) or any other related professional qualifications will be an added advantage
Working experience in managing USAID/CDC funded projects is an advantage
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Computer literacy in Microsoft Word & Excel, accounting packages Fluency in English and a good command of spoken Kiswahili
