STORES OFFICER The Stores Officer reports to the Administration and Procurement Manager and is responsible for managing PML’s main store and assisting in the procurement of supplies, while ensuring compliance to the approved stores policies, procedures and set standards. Specific responsibilities include; Develop, monitor and upgrade systems and procedures related to order processing and dispatch for improvement of operational efficiency and maximizing storage density. Initiate the procurement of stores materials by liaising with the PDU on the replenishment and acquisition of materials in accordance with the established reorder level with respect to lead times and delivery details. Plan and coordinate the stores function including receipts and dispatch operations for the PML store and project stores. Receive and verify incoming supplies in liaison with Internal Audit and PDU, and execute proper documentation of receipts and supplies. Inspect the physical condition of commodities/items in stores and ensure that the stores are kept in good and tidy condition. Implement lean inventory policies to minimize investment in inventory. Consistently file documents as appropriate to ensure that inventory is efficiently tracked by the system to minimize loss due to obsolescence and expiry Ensure communication across the PDU and relevant divisions on stock, issues and dispatch. Ensure the safety, security of supplies and avoidance of loss as a result of deterioration, thrifty waste and obsolescence. Prepare and interpret reports on stock levels and stock consumption trends, investigate stock discrepancies and propose recommendations. Advise management on unserviceable, obsolete and unwanted materials in the store with a view of disposing off those items. Take periodic stock accounts in line with set standards, prepare reports on inventory counts, stock records, spoilage and damage to stores. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Requirement:	Minimum Academic Qualifications: The ideal candidates should have a minimum of a Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Stores Management from a reputable institution with good grades or any other related field. Candidates should have at least 2 years’ experience in related field and should not be over 35 years of age. Candidates should also have 2 principle passes at A’ Level and credits in English and Mathematics at ‘O’Level. Person Specifications: Should be honest, well organized and reliable. Should be a team player and a self-starter. Should be self-motivated and innovative.
