SALARY: (1) Mission Policy is to hire LES employees at step 1 of the grade. The current annual salary for an LES-7, step 1 is L.E 62,832.

The US Embassy in Cairo is seeking an individual for the position of Supply Supervisor in the Supply and Property Management Office.
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
Under the supervision of the General Services Officer for Supply/Property Management and Motor Pool (GSO/SPM/MP), the incumbent has first line responsibility for maintaining accountability for the mission’s 33 million of non-expendable and expendable property. Monitors accountability for USG property; designs and implements internal controls and establishes procedures for preventing loss of property and for retrieving missing property. The incumbent manages an inventory team that conducts physical inventories of non-expendable (NXP) property in residences, offices, the warehouse, and supply rooms for State and other agencies. Also is responsible for conducting physical inventories of official residences, including the Ambassador’s residence and the residence of the Deputy Chief of Mission.
Oversees yearly inventories of expendable (EXP) property (i.e., administrative supplies, upholstery and drapery fabrics, hospitality kits, Facilities supplies, Motor Pool spare parts) and any other NXP and EXP property that the mission acquires or controls. directs the preparation of reports, updating of files, and the application of appropriate condition codes to inventoried property. Reconciles inventories using the automated Non-expandable Property Application (NEPA).Prepares records and reports of missing and damaged property and when required, recommends appropriate action to the Accountable property Officer(GSO/SPM/MP).Conducts property utilization surveys and assists with the preparation of equipment procurement plans. Supervises a permanent four member inventory team and varying numbers of temporary employees; conducts training, manages schedules, and monitors performance. Provides NEPA training services for other US missions including assessing accountability procedures and level of training needed identifying problems, Defining resource needs. designing training programs and then traveling to other mission to conduct training. Provides logistical support for VIP visits; determines level and availability of supply, property and other administrative support required, directs the set-up of control rooms and other installations as needed, acts as administrative control to coordinate administrative support activities at remote sites.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

1. Completion of secondary School is required.
2. Four years of supply or inventory-related supervisory experience and previous office work using spoken and written English is required.
3. Level III (Good working knowledge) in English and Arabic is required.
