Main tasks are:
- Ensure funding and full implementation of the DCA mine action programme in Angola including monitoring of the work carried out in the operations, logistics, finance and administration and ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with DCA guidelines, Standard operation procedures, values and policies
- Ensure financial and administrative oversight and that expenses are closely followed and allotted to the relevant budgets
- Overall management of the DCA Mine Action programme in Angola including staff, projects, budgets, security plans, finances and administration, in line with relevant DCA guidelines.
- Liaison with the Angolan mine action authorities, other national authorities, donors, visitors to the programme, the media and ACT alliance as appropriate.

We expect you to have:
• Fluency in English , Portuguese is a advantage
• At least five years of documented experience in results based management and leadership
• At least three years of field experience in development and/or humanitarian work, in developing countries
• Ability to work in volatile and challenging environment and under tight deadlines
• Accountability and integrity
• Cultural sensitivity and the ability to build relations both within and outside DCA
• Ability to lead and motivate the team, identify priorities, take decisions, delegate, and monitor the work of others
• Excellent fundraising, networking, and oral and written communication skills
• Experience in writing reports as well as project proposals
• Experience in all aspects of project cycle management (design, planning, budgeting, monitoring, administration, reporting and evaluation)
• Experience with and knowledge of mine action will be an advantage
Who are we?
DanChurchAid (DCA) was established in 1922 to assist the poorest of the poor. DCA has regional offices located in the Middle East, Asia, Africa and South America and is focusing its activities on 5 programme types: food security, HIV/AIDS, political space, humanitarian response and mine action. DCA has been operational in mine action since 1999, and currently has operations in Albania, Angola, Burma/Myanmar, Democratic Republic of Congo, Lebanon, Libya, Laos and Sudan.
DCA has been implementing a Humanitarian Mine Action programme in Angola since 2004. DCA is operating in the Moxico Province in Eastern Angola, which was the scene of some of the heaviest fighting during the civil war and Moxico is the most mine-contaminated province in Angola. The programme consists of manual and mechanical clearance of landmines as well as mine risk education and survey teams and is currently funded by Europeaid, FinnChurchAid and private funds.
