1. INFORMATION SYSTEMS AUDITOR (1)
Reports to: Audit Manager
Role: To review the adequacy and effectiveness of the control systems for accuracy, completeness and security of information and data integrity. Review application systems and business processes in line with the Bank’s business objectives.
Key Result Areas:
• Handle all IT related issues that come up within the course of Bank operations not specific to the audit plan.
• Liaise with Head IT and ensure that all systems updates, modifications are properly authorized, tested and documented.
• Prepare IT related tests for auditable areas.
• Prepare audit plans and work papers for assigned normal, snap and follow up audits.
• Determine the effectiveness of internal control in areas being audited, identify weakness and make recommendations to strengthen controls.
• Provide on job training to internal auditors in CAATs.
• Prepare timely, clear and well written reports to Manager Audit for onward submission to Head of Audit.
• Maintain current and permanent audit files
• Draft updates to audit programmes and audit manual.
• Provide audit inputs with respect to the adequacy of internal controls for new systems being developed in- house or purchased from a software vendor.
• Advice management on the systems weakness and provide control measures to minimize the risk of such weakness.
• Conduct preliminary audit surveys
• Maintain effective working relations with management and units audited
• Any other duties as assigned by the Head of department and other audit managers.
Requirement:
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Possession of CISA/CISM or any other information systems certifications will be an added advantage.
• Possesses competent knowledge in accounting principles, auditing standards and techniques.
• Good report writing skills.
• Excellent Analytical skills and a Team player
• 2-3 years experience preferably with a financial institution.
• Knowledge of ACL is a must.
