Purpose of the Position

Specific Duties:
- Maintain all essential books of accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of annual regional budgets.
- Up-date and reconcile all client financial records: passbooks, group records and bank position and enter primary data into the loan tracking and accounting systems.
- Ensure that loan statements are prepared and dispatched to the clients.
- Make regular bank reconciliation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Institute necessary measures to prevent fraud and errors which are likely to undermine public confidence in Habitat for Humanity Kenya.
- Ensure petty cash vouchers arising from expenditure, cheque requests and creditors’ invoices are promptly filed.
- Prepare monthly operational results, revenue accrued and other reports as may be required by the management from time to time.
- Prepare region’s budgets, financial statements, cash-flows and any other management accounts.
- In charge of payments to staff and other parties.
- Maintain an up to date assets register.
- Provide administrative services to the regional offices, ensuring that all goods and services needed for the efficient and effective running of the region are available.
- In the absence of the SFOs and FOs, receive visitors and enter their queries into the Enquiries Register for follow up by the SFOs/FOs.
- Perform any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Senior Accountant and/or SFO
Qualifications
- A first degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Arts or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification to Certified Public Accountant 2 or equivalent.
- One to two years of experience in a busy accounting environment. Fresh graduate with a proven internship track record or active participation in community affairs will be considered depending on their availability to learn fast on the job.
- Excellent computer skills especially in excel.
- Knowledge and experience in key accounting packages like bankers’ realm and sunsystem will be a definite advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Kiswahili and English.
- Willingness to live and work in rural settings.

Purpose of the Position
Field Officer is a member of the regional team and is responsible for Programme promotion, recruitment of members, group formation, training, loan disbursement and loan repayment, overseeing of financial transactions in groups and financial reporting to Regional at Office level.
He/she maintains all group cash records and assists in credit functions and activities in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promotion of Housing Product,
- Appraisal and Recruitment of Members
- Formation of Groups and training of members in group dynamics and record keeping
- Review and maintain group records
- Attend and participate in all group meetings as HFHK representative.
- Prepare and submit portfolio summary reports to the Senior Field Officer.
- Maintain profile files for all members.
- Facilitate full loan application process for members.
- Recommend loan applications for approval.
- Disburse all loans to the members during group meetings.
- Recover all the disbursed loans.
- Maintain acceptable loan repayment rate.
- Any other duties as requested and assigned by the supervisors.
Qualification Requirements
- University degree in business, construction, social studies, or development studies
- Familiarity with principles and practice of microfinance.
- Proven self-initiative and problem solving abilities.
- Commitment to team work and ability to perform under pressure while maintaining a sense of humour.
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Kiswahili.
- Competent in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- Strong training and analytical skills.
- Willing to work in rural areas and on weekend and odd hours.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Capacity and willingness to learn new skills quickly and work with rural communities.
- One to two years of relevant work experience or documented participation in leadership at the university or in community development projects

Purpose of the Position
The Assistant ICTO shall be responsible for Portfolio Management and maintenance of the loan tracking system in addition to providing interpretational models to all decisions, systems designs and data processing.
Specific Duties
- Input debtors’ data into HFHKenya information systems and keep a record on all individual debtors.
- Ensure data integrity is maintained on all information captured and stored in HFHKenya Management Information Systems, by carrying out system scans and system backups.
- Review and give final recommendation on loan applications recommended by the field officers using the loan tracking system.
- Act as a control mechanism and ensure checks and balances on all management information in the system of HFHK.
- To maintain and support all the existing computer installations and software, recommend and oversee continuous upgrade of the systems.
- To participate in the development, installation and support of computing and network support services for the HFHK head office and branch network.
- To participate in the design, development, implementation and evaluation of end user services and integrated information initiatives for HFHK.
- To take part in the analysis design, programming, timely implementation, and testing of all information systems projects.
- Perform web content management in liaison with the ICT Officer and Communications department.
- To provide regular management reports as may be required by the Executive Director from time to time.
- Maintain hardware and software inventory.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the ICTO/National Director.
Qualifications
- University degree in IT /Computer related field.
- 2 years’ experience in Microfinance environment,
- Working knowledge of SQL.
- Experience in working with the Bankers Realm and Microsoft certifications will be an added advantage.
