The Rwanda Stock Exchange Limited was established with the objective of carrying out stock market operations. The Stock Exchange was officially launched on January 31st, 2011 and it is in the process of enhancing its operations and institutional capacity.
It is in this regard that the Rwanda Stock Exchange intends to recruit a qualified and competent candidate for the following position:
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Specific responsibilities:
The Chief Executive Officer of the Rwanda Stock Exchange shall be responsible for the overall management and administration of the institution.

Description of Duties:
Directly reporting to the Board of RSE, the Chief Executive Officer will undertake the following duties:
- To develop the goals and mission of the Exchange.
- To formulate the corporate plan for the overall development of the Exchange.
- To enforce the provisions of the Rwanda Stock Exchange MEMART.
- To enforce the rules and regulations of the Rwanda Stock Exchange.
- To mobilize the human and other resources essential for the development of the Exchange.
- To enforce good governance.
- To promote listing of new products.
- To ensure compliance by market professionals for purposes of creating confidence in the market and protecting investors.
- To promote the Rwanda Stock Exchange as a Self-Regulating Organization (SRO).
- To liaise with the Government, the Ministry of Finance and Central Bank on all matters pertaining to the development of the Securities Exchange.
- To initiate policies essential to the growth of the stock market.
- To provide leadership in human resource development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Good academic education in Economics, Finance or Management.
- A Master’s Degree in Economics, Finance or Management or a professional qualification in accounting or finance and/ or proven hands on experience of at least 10 years in the capital market industry of which at least 5 years were at management level.
- Proven skills to manage the Exchange efficiently.
- Have entrepreneurial skills and ability to undertake challenging assignments.
- Have good diplomatic skills to enable him to deal with government and other stakeholders at high level.
- Fluency in English, French and Kinyarwanda would be an added advantage.
