Job description
- As an Analyst in the Banking Strategy practice you will work in small teams problem solving, researching, analysing and reporting on strategy engagements across Africa.
- You will have a keen passion for economics and business, seeking to apply the strong academic foundation you will have acquired in post graduate economics to real world problems within banking.
- Through your work you will have exposure to senior executives from among some of the preeminent banking groups and 2nd tier financial institutions on the continent. Included among your clients will be microfinance institutions, donors, investors, private companies and central banks.
- The job requires a significant amount of travel in some of the fastest growing economies in the world. Applicants therefore must combine youth and flexibility together with maturity and an appetite to contribute meaningfully to our clients’ challenges.
Desired skills & experience
- A postgraduate degree in economics (minimum Masters level) at an internationally recognised tertiary education is obligatory (evidence of being within top quintile of class will be screened for)
- Excellent English language proficiency is a must, both written and verbal
- Additional language skills (for example, French, Portuguese, or Mandarin) are an advantage
- Preference will be shown for applicants born in Africa
