PROCUREMENT/SUPPLIES OFFICER II– 4 POSTS
Reports to: Head ofProcurement Management Unit
Location: BOT Training Institute-Mwanza, Mbeya, Zanzibar and Mwanza branch.
Job purpose:
To carry out procurement activities and assist the head of Procurement Management in ensuring compliance with the procurement law and regulations.
Primary Dutiesand Responsibilities:
a) Assisting Head of Procurement Management Unit with day to day activities aimed at achieving the objectives of the branch/training institute efficiently and effectively;
b) Carrying out secretarial duties in respect of meetings of the of the Delegated Tender Board;
c) Preparing and processing approval of annual procurement plan for the Branch/Training Institute;
d) Liaising with user departments to establish detailed technical specifications, terms of reference and statement of requirements for procurement purposes;
e) Preparing and issuing standard bidding documents to prospective bidders;
f) Preparing, reviewing, finalizing and issuing procurement contracts as well as maintaining register for contacts;
g) Conducting analysis of quotations basing on criteria set forth in the Request for Quotations (RFQ);
h) Preparing and issuing purchase orders (PO) and maintaining a register for purchase orders;
i) Following up on delivery of approved items from head office and suppliers;
j) Preparing periodic reports on procurement;
k) Receiving goods and materials from various suppliers and maintaining appropriate records;
l) Implementing the decisions of the Delegated Tender Board;
m) Performing other related duties as may be assigned by the head of the unit .
Essential Requirements:
• Master’s degree inProcurement or its equivalent;

ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN III – I POST
Reports to: Head of Division.
Location: BOT, Arusha Branch
Job purpose:
To undertake electrical installation, maintenance and rehabilitation of electrical networks at Arusha Branch.
Primary Dutiesand Responsibilities:
a) Installing and carrying out electrical maintenance work at the premises ;
a. Making periodical inspections on all electrical/electronics systems (cooling system, energy farm and water supply system) and installations with a view to identifying areas needing attention;
b) Preparing daily electrical maintenance reports and submitting to the head of division;
c) Carrying out analysis of information arising from the preventive maintenance system and providing statistical reports on performance;
d) Collecting information on equipment repair history in a format that facilitates retrieval and analysis;
e) Carrying out maintenance work on electrical, electronic, computer and the telecommunication equipments;
f) Ensuring that safety standards are maintained at the work place at all times;
g) Performing other related duties as may be assigned by the head of division.
Essential Requirements:
• Diploma or Full Technician Certificate (FTC) in Electrical Engineering;

COMPUTER SYSTEMS ENGINEER (IT AUDIT) – 1 POST
Reports to: Head of Division.
Location: Head Office – Systems Audit Department
Job purpose:
To assess controls, reliability and integrity of the Bank’s Information Technology (IT) platform, infrastructure and service delivery and provide advice on controls and risks associated with reliance on IT in order to maintain/improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Bank’s risk management, internal controls and corporate governance.
Primary Dutiesand Responsibilities:
a) Assessing the soundness of controls and reliability of the Bank’s Information Technology (IT) infrastructure;
b) Evaluating the effectiveness of business continuity strategies, plans and standards;
c) Providing advice on controls and risks associated with IT infrastructure advancements;
d) Assessing IT controls to determine compliance with acceptable standards and Bank’s policies;
e) Performing operational audits such as system infrastructure acquisition and deployment audits to ensure that specifications are in line with standards and the Bank’s IT direction.
f) Identifying weaknesses, reviewing management’s plans for addressing the weaknesses, monitoring and reporting on steps taken to address the weaknesses.
g) Following-up on audit findings to ensure adequacy and timeliness of correction.
h) Participating in IT projects implementation to ensure compliance with the Bank’s ITsecurity standards.
i) Performing other related duties as may be assigned by the head of division.
Essential Requirements:
• Masters degree in Computer/Information Systems Engineering or its equivalent;
• Professional certification in Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) will be an added advantage;
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
• Good team player;
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple assignments;
• Ability to work well under minimum supervision;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
COMPUTER ANALYST/ PROGRAMMER (IT AUDIT) – 1 POST
Reports to: Head of Division.
Location: Head Office – Systems Audit Department
Job purpose:
To assess controls, reliability and integrity of the Bank’s Information Technology (IT) applications software and database and provide advice on controls and risks associated with reliance on IT in order to maintain/improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Bank’s risk management, internal controls and corporate governance.
Primary Dutiesand Responsibilities:
a) Evaluating the soundness of controls and reliability of the Bank’s Information Technology (IT) application systems;
b) Evaluating the effectiveness of IT strategies, plans, policies, procedures and standardsin promoting internal controls;
c) Providing advice on application controls and risks associated with reliance on Information Technology;
d) Assessing IT controls to ensure that transactions are recorded and processed in compliance with acceptable accounting methods and standards; and are in compliance with Bank’s policies;
e) Performing operational audits such as system development and maintenance auditswith a view to assessing controls and compliance with approved policies;
f) Identifying weaknesses, reviewing management’s plans for addressing the weaknesses, monitoring and reporting on steps taken to address the weaknesses.

BANK OFFICER (PROJECT MANAGEMENT)– 2 POSTS
Reports to: Head of Division.
Location: Head Office – Directorate of Strategic Planning and Performance Review
Job purpose:
To coordinate and monitor Bank’s projects and assist in ensuring adherence to project management principles and the Bank’s Project Management Framework.
Primary Dutiesand Responsibilities:
a) Assisting in the day to day overall coordination and monitoring of Bank’s projects with a view to ensuring that projects are planned and managed in accordance with the Bank’s Project Management Framework ;
b) Providing advice and guidance to project managers and projects steering committees on projects management;
c) Maintaining a repository ofprojects information;
d) Reviewing policies and guidelines on projects management;
e) Monitoring and evaluating Bank’s projects;
f) Coordinating and providing training on project management with a view to improving project management skills among staff;
g) Preparing and consolidating annual budget requirements for Bank projects;
h) Providing secretarialsupport to the Corporate Projects Management Committee;
i) Performing other related duties as may be assigned by the head of division.
Essential Requirements:
• Masters degree in Economics, Finance, Strategic Management or Project
Management;
• Professional certification in project management will be an added advantage;
• Analytical and quantitative skills;
• Experience in preparing projects reports will be an added advantage;
