Duty Station: Maputo, including some travelling to the Provinces Period: 80 days (in 3 missions) starting immediately FAO is supporting the Ministry of Education in Mozambique upgrading the capacity of primary teachers’ trainers through the Technical Cooperation Program “Contributing to Strengthening the Ministry of Education’s Capacity in Agriculture, Entrepreneurship and Nutrition Training”. To this effect, FAO intends to hire an International Consultant on Curriculum Development and Teachers’ Training, with a University degree in Education Sciences and Pedagogy and sound experience in curriculum development and elaboration of teaching and learning materials, preferably for primary school and in countries with a reality similar to that of Mozambique. Extensive knowledge on advanced participatory and learner-centred learning and teaching methods is crucial for the post. Applicants must also have a good working knowledge of Portuguese (or Spanish) and English.
