PROJECT MANAGER
We are currently seeking a highly creative, organised, efficient and self-motivated individual to support the management of our projects. Key responsibilities of this position:
Management of projects from beginning to end of project cycle, including: Preparing draft contracts for projects and personnel Identifying and supporting the selection of personnel Management of and liaison with project personnel Monitoring contractual obligations and ensuring they are all met Administration of contract and deliverables Writing, reviewing and editing reports Ensuring that all reports (narrative and financial) are submitted in advance of deadlines Preparing review of personnel/consultants at end of contract Prepare a review of results, challenges and lessons learned at end of projects Troubleshooting as required Administrative support to project and personnel as required
Providing support to management of existing projects
Skills and experience • Masters’ Degree in International Development, Public Health, Education or related fields • Minimum five years’ relevant experience in project management or related field • Experience in developing countries an asset • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail • Excellent writing skills • Highly numerate • Excellent computer skills • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure • High degree of flexibility and creativity • Good inter‐personal skills • Excellent English language skills, knowledge of Spanish and/or French an advantage • Preference to those already located in Uganda or the region • Location: Kampala, Uganda with local and international travel
