The Commission would like to strengthen its human resources capacity by recruiting dynamic and self motivated individuals to complement its current staff in the implementation of its mandate as a national Human Rights institution. The successful candidate will be appointed for a five-year contract and is subject to a six month probation period.
1. ASSISTANT PROCUREMENT OFFICER (1 Vacancy)

Salary Scale: HR-OS-7
Age: 22 years and above
Reports to : Procurement Officer
Main Purpose of the Job
Assist the procurement officer in effectively handling the procurement function
Testimonials of a good track record from previous employer are required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Participate in purchasing technical and specialized supplies, equipments and services
• Handling problems and protests concerning solicitation and contract awards
• Compiling Procurement requests from the various directorates and preparing LROs for goods and Services for the Commission.
• Participating in the drawing of the procurement unit work plans and budgets
• Addressing unauthorized purchases and convey with reference to law and policies
• Advertises tenders
• Distributes tender/bid documents
• Receives and registers bids
• Attends to inquiries from bidders and suppliers
• Properly keeps procurement records and information of suppliers
• Notifies bidders of the outcome of the bidding process
Job requirement
Competencies required:
• Diploma in Procurement and Supplies Management or
• Advanced National Diploma CIPS or Level five (5) Certificate from the chartered institute of Procurement A Supplies (CIPS)
• Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years working experience in procurement from a reputable organization and should be familiar with the principals, guidelines and regulations of the procurement process of the G.O.U and Donor procurement mechanism.
• Must be computer literate, with ICT Minute writing and Report writing skills
