Context:
Based on more than 15 years' experience in microfinance, Horus created Advans with several major international Development Finance Institutions. Advans is a network of microfinance institutions (MFIs) in developing and emerging countries (Cameroon, Ghana, DRC, Cambodia, Tanzania, Cote d'Ivoire) offering financial services to micro, small and medium sized enterprises (MSMEs). The Advans network presently comprises six financial institutions and the objective is to create ten additional microfinance institutions over the next five years. Horus is recruiting CEOs highly motivated to participate in economic and social development for countries where we work and develop Advans MFIs.

Role/Responsibilities:
The CEO will be responsible for the creation and development of new institutions or for the expansion of an existing fast-growing institution (network extension, launch of new products) and for reaching outreach and financial sustainability targets set by the Board of Directors, while maintaining sound risk management principles.

In collaboration with the institution's staff, the CEO is in charge of the overall supervision of the institution, management of the operations, and maintains good relationships with local partners and authorities.

Skills/qualifications/experience:
- Masters degree in management/accounting/finance
- Fluency in English, reading and understanding French is appreciated
- 10 to 15 years of working experience including at least 5 years in high level management positions in financial services (retail banking, financial institutions or microfinance)
- Work experience in developing countries
- Successful professional experience in the management of a commercial venture
- Excellent entrepreneurial, leadership, planning and organisation skills, result oriented
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills, stress resistant, resilient

In the context of the Advans network's dynamic development, Horus is recruiting other top management positions such as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer for its institutions.

Horus is also recruiting an Investment Officer specialised in Private Equity for its headquarters in Paris. The Investment Officer's main responsibility is to develop the portfolio of equity investments of Advans SA, which includes: identification of target countries and companies, fact-finding field missions and due diligences, preparation and presentation of investment proposals to the Investment Committee and Board, identification of and negotiations with co-shareholders and other financial partners and monitoring of investments.
