Plan is an international child - centered Development Organization whose mission is to achieve lasting improvements in the quality of life of deprived children through a process that unites people across cultures to add meaning to their lives.
Plan has been working in Tanzania since 1991; it operates in 6 areas, Mwanza, Geita, Ifakara, Kibaha, Kisarawe and Dar es Salaam. Plan Tanzania works with 32,900 sponsored children, their families and their communities implementing programmes at grassroots level in child protection, health, education, water and sanitation, income generation and building relationship across cultures
Plan Tanzania now invites applications from suitable, qualified and experienced persons to fill the following available vacancies.
Purpose: To utilize the corporate financial information system for MNCH project and ensure compliance and internal controls are adhered to in the procurement and payment process.
Job requirements
To process or prepare payment to suppliers and various partners and post them in General Ledger accounting system.
To prepare monthly financial reports and routine reports for the project including monthly project expenditure reports,
Manage the accrued expenses and accounts payable for projects transaction, control and monthly reconciliation of staff advance and other Balance sheet Items reports.
Follow staff advances, maintain up-to date staff advance register and maintaining proper financial records and files Timely preparation of requests for direct payments and requests for advance to project staff at country office and ensure that no advance is given to staff with pending advance.
Posting of payment vouchers, and journals in the General Ledger System
To facilitate payment for seminars, trainings workshops and ensure liquidation is done in line with Plan Financial procedures
Participate in year-end processes for quality and timely financial closure of both the project and Plan fiscal year Prepare for audit activities for MNCH Project and ensure the availability of any audit document needed.
Qualifications and skills
A degree in Accounting or its equivalent
Proficient in computer skills and use of relevant accounting packages Team player, Honest, integrity and work with minimum supervision

Child Protection
Plan Tanzania is a child centered organization. Protecting the rights of the children is of paramount interest to us. , Subsequently, all short listed candidates will undergo a police vetting check for criminal offences particularly relating to any type of child abuse; The successful candidate will be required to sign and adhere to the Plan Tanzania child protection policy.
Remuneration
The above positions carry attractive remuneration as per Plan Tanzania salary structure and incentive package.
