The U.S. Embassy in Pretoria is seeking individuals for the position of Leasing Assistant in the General Services Office (GSO).
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications Required: NOTE: ALL APPLICANTS MUST ADDRESS EACH SELECTION CRITERION DETAILED BELOW WITH SPECIFIC AND COMPREHENSIVE INFORMATION SUPPORTING EACH ITEM. Items 1-7 are ALL REQUIRED 1. Successful completion of Matric (Grade 12). 2. Minimum of three years demonstrated progressively responsible experience of which two years must be in project management and one year in some aspect related to real estate. 3. English level IV (fluency) and host country language level III - reading/writing/speaking. (This will be tested). 4. Must have a professional knowledge of office procedures. 5. Must be courteous, attention to detail, thoroughness, dependability as well as timely and efficient of work assignments and be independent. 6. Must be proficient in the use of all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite 2007. (This will be tested). 7. Must have a valid Code 8 (EB or higher) driver’s license. |
Job Specification
Basic Function of Position: Manage a portfolio of 80 to 120 leases valued at $2.5M. Maintain all lease documentation, communicates with Washington for funding requests and prepares waiver requests for leases when required. The incumbent also maintains the Real Property database for the Mission Housing Program. Main point contacts for the City of Tshwane and curtain vendors.
