Internal Audit Specialist National Forestry Authority

Reports to: Internal Audit Manager

Duty Station: Headquarters Kampala

Terms of Employment: 3 years contract (Renewable)



Job Summary:

To assist the Internal Audit Manager in checking and monitoring adherence to organisational policies and procedures to meet the Authorities strategic objectives.

Key Result Areas:

Carrying out expenditure audits
Carrying out revenue audits
Carrying out audits of assets and liabilities
Carrying out audit of contracts
Conducting audit of other operating data and reports
Carrying out field audits whenever required
Carrying out assessments on the adequacy, reliability and effectiveness of the system of internal controls.
Preparing draft audit reports
Any other related business as might be assigned from time to time.

Requirement:

Should have a minimum of a Bachelors degree in either Commerce or Business Administration majoring in accounting option
Fully qualified professional accountant in possession of ACCA, ICPAU, ICPAK and/or CIA
Should have at least two years’ working experience in an audit environment and in a commercially business oriented environment
Should be highly computer literate.

Salary: NFA 4 - USD/month
