Ofwat is looking to appoint two senior roles, a Head of Competition Economics and a Head of Regulatory Economics.
Ofwat is the economic regulator for the water and sewerage sectors in England and Wales. Reporting the Chief Economist, both roles will be responsible for leading teams providing timely and high-quality specialist advice and analysis on competition and regulatory economics. Their work will feed into policy development, casework and other projects and both posts play a key role in the development and delivery of Ofwat’s strategy and work.
The Head of Competition Economics will promote the utilisation of competition economics across the organisation and make an important input into policy development and market reform. The responsibilities of the Head of Regulatory Economics will include providing input into the development of the methodology for price reviews and advising on the economic implications and impact on the regulation of the water and sewerage sector.
