Department Context
The Information Solutions Group (ISG) is the Information Management and Technology Vice Presidency. It provides core IT infrastructure and business application services to the World Bank Group, including the Washington DC headquarters and 120 plus country office locations. The objective of the Information Management and Technology Vice Presidency is to add value to the Bank’s core businesses and to ensure that end-users have the information and systems to do their jobs at the headquarters or in the country offices.
Unit Context
Within the Information Solutions Group is the Technology and Engineering group (ISGTE) which is responsible for providing IT infrastructure services to the entire Bank (IBRD and IDA) and limited services to the IFC, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Services range from data center operations, global network, telecommunications, enterprise desktop and server support for Windows and three flavors of Unix, enterprise messaging, WEB, financial and HR platform support including SAP and PeopleSoft. Within the World Bank Group organization, ISGTE’s key clients are application developers, information providers, first level OT/IT support and business users. The ISG Technology and Engineering group has a requirement for a manager for its enterprise business systems infrastructure operations; this manager will report to the Director of ISGTE, Information Solutions Group.
