We are currently recruiting two Associate Directors into an analytical role focused on sovereigns Europe, Middle East and Africa (London-based). One position will be focused on sovereign risk analysis in Europe; the second position will have a focus on Africa.
Key responsibilities include:
Analyse sovereign issuers and prepare materials for committee deliberations as well as analyses and commentaries for publication. Lead high-level meetings with government clients (including Finance Ministers and Governors of Central Banks). Communicate Standard & Poor's views and educate users of our ratings. You will interact with issuers, investors and media.
Qualifications:
- Strong proven skills in comparative political and economic analysis;
- Excellent writing (English) and strong communication skills;
- Prior relevant work experience such as central bank, government ministry, international organizations or relevant analytical think tanks, usually for five to ten years;
- Exceptionally strong academics;
- Fluent French is a prerequisite for the position with focus on Africa. Additional language skills are an advantage.
